Yes. Upheal is fully HIPAA compliant. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and our infrastructure meets the security standards required for handling protected health information (PHI). We provide a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for every account.
Insurance billing, including claims submission, ERA processing, and eligibility checks, is coming to Upheal in summer 2026. It will be built directly into the platform, so you won't need a separate clearinghouse. In the meantime, Upheal supports client billing with automated invoicing and superbills.
