Today, we’re launching the foundational phase of UphealOS: the first Operating System created specifically for mental health clinicians. UphealOS is designed to give you more freedom, more clarity, and more control over how you work.
We’re doing this by bringing all the tools you need to run your practice into one AI-powered platform — from core EHR functions like payments, insurance billing, telehealth, and scheduling to workflow automations that reduce administrative load, such as documentation and practice forms.
This launch marks the beginning of Upheal’s long-term vision to empower clinicians like you to grow your practice and spend more time doing what you love, and less on what you never signed up for. Every tool in UphealOS is designed in partnership with clinicians to support your independence and give you more headspace.

What’s shipped since launch
Since launch, UphealOS has added:
- Client portal (March 2026): clients book, reschedule and join sessions, and find their forms, in one secure place.
- Upheal Assistant actions (April 2026): ask it to prep your day, chase a payment or draft a discharge summary, and it does the work.
- Client app (April 2026): an iOS and Android app for telehealth, forms, session summaries and scheduling.
- Secure client messaging (May 2026): messages connected to the clinical record, so the Assistant can draft replies from your notes and treatment plans.
- SMS reminders (May 2026): session and form reminders by text as well as email.
- Insurance billing (July 2026): submit claims, check eligibility and post insurance payments in Upheal, with no monthly billing fee.

How much does Upheal cost?
Upheal AI Notes is $39 a month, alongside the EHR you already use. The Upheal EHR is $1 per session with AI notes included, or $99 a month for unlimited sessions with Assistant Pro included. Both start with a 30-day free trial. See current pricing.
Switching from another EHR?
Bring your records with you
Upload the export from SimplePractice or any other EHR under Settings → Import records. Upheal brings over your clients and files every chart document in the right client's chart, and group practices can book a call for an assisted migration.
