We’ve seen how most private-pay therapists are forced to juggle disconnected tools. One for billing, another for scheduling, and a few more for notes, intake, and marketing. Each part of your day lives in a different tab, leaving you to hold it all together.

At Upheal, we’ve spent the past four years building tools that make life easier for mental health professionals. From our industry-defining AI scribe and telehealth to automated session summaries with clinical accuracy, we’ve always aimed higher. Now, we’re setting out to build something that surpasses any EHR or practice management software.
We’re calling it UphealOS: the Operating System for Therapists.
Why an Operating System?
You’ve probably heard it before: “Our tools will makes your life easier.” Many software companies promise to be different. But in reality, disjointed tools often lead to more complexity and friction rather than simplifying your life.
But what many of these software companies don’t see is that when therapists start a private practice, they take on much more than clinical work. Our first milestone arrives in early December, when we’ll launch the foundation of UphealOS.
We’ll include core EHR features like payment processing and practice forms. It’s the first step toward a complete, intelligent system designed for private-pay therapists.
