Only pay for the sessions you hold

When you meet with a client and generate a note using any of our methods, we count that as a single session. To keep your billing accurate, we also look at other details in your account, like sessions you’ve scheduled in your Upheal calendar, and payments you’ve processed.

If you use Upheal telehealth, those calls are counted as sessions, even if you choose not to generate an AI note. This is because your per-session charge covers more than just notes — it also gives you full access to scheduling, secure payments, our AI Assistant for administrative tasks, and much more.

*Currently, we only bill for sessions when an AI note is generated, but in the future, you’ll see the above guidelines reflected in your monthly charges.

‍**If you import complete sessions from another EHR, we won’t count those as new sessions, and won’t charge you for them.

Most of the time, Upheal automatically recognizes when a session shouldn’t be charged. For example, if a client doesn’t show up, and you remove the appointment from your calendar, our system will know the session didn’t happen. The same applies if AI note processing fails; you won’t be charged. You can always see your current spend in Settings > Plan and billing.

However, if we miss something, like a canceled appointment left on your calendar, or a note that didn’t meet your needs, just reach out to Support and let us know. We’ll make sure you’re not charged for that session by issuing a credit to your invoice.

The billing period follows calendar months. You’ll be charged for a month’s sessions on the first day of the following month. (For example, you’ll be charged on May 1st for all sessions conducted in April.)

Multiple providers cannot share an Upheal account. Sharing an account would be a breach of our Terms of Service, and in that case, Upheal reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account.

If you switch to our Free plan, you’ll still have access to all your notes and records, but you won’t be able to use features only included in our Premium plan.

If you haven’t paid for your Upheal subscription past the grace period we provide, you’ll still be able to see your records, but you won’t be able to use any of Upheal’s features, or switch to our Free plan, until your balance is paid.

If you realize that Upheal isn’t the right fit for you, just contact support within 30 days of subscribing to a paid plan, and we’ll refund your payment or cancel pending charges.

£0.70/session covers your note, plus access to all of Upheal’s features.

If you subscribe to the Premium during your free trial, you won’t be charged for sessions conducted during your remaining trial days.

When you switch from a monthly paid plan, the new pay-per-session system will start once your current billing period ends. From then, you’ll pay $1 per session, and you’ll be charged at the start of the next calendar month.

If you switch from an annual plan, we’ll apply a prorated credit to your account, which will be charged against per session until it runs out.

If you’re on our Starter plan, you can stay on the plan with limited features for the time being, or contact Support to make the switch.

You won’t be charged sales tax on your subscription.

Since you only pay for what you use, there’s no need to pause! You can cancel any time and return whenever you’re ready. You’ll still have access to all your records on our Free plan while you’re away.
