Changing how Upheal refers to you and your clients

Choose what terms Upheal uses to refer to you and your clients

You can change how Upheal refers to you and your clients in your notes in statements like “The therapist assessed…” and “The client expressed…” to suit your preferences.

  1. In the left menu, click Settings.

  2. Click Note settings.

  3. Select the preferred terms from the dropdown menus. You can choose:

    • How we’ll refer to you, the service provider

    • How we’ll refer to individual clients

    • How we'll refer to couples

    • Your pronouns for notes

  4. Your preferences are now set.

As a service provider, you can choose to be referred to as:

  • Author

  • Case manager

  • Clinician

  • Coach

  • Counselor

  • Dietician

  • Dr. (plus your last name)

  • First name

  • Peer Support Specialist

  • Physician

  • Practitioner

  • Provider

  • Psychologist

  • Supervisor

  • Therapist

  • Writer

You can choose for your client to be referred to as:

  • Client

  • First name

  • Member

  • Patient

  • Supervisee

If you choose an option besides first name for couples, you will see Client A and Client B, or Member A and Member B, etc.

You can choose from the pronouns:

  • She/her

  • He/him

  • They/them

You can also set or change your client’s pronouns.
