After working with a member of our sales team and deciding to move forward with Upheal, you'll be introduced to a Implementation team member who will assist in the onboarding process. Thankfully, the migration process is straightforward enough, you'll be able to import your data on your own schedule.
For the best results we recommend migrating your data once, when you're ready to have your team begin using Upheal.
Our Implementation and Customer Success team will never ask you to share your login to your previous EHR as sharing logins is a violation of HIPAA.
Adding Clients From:
SimplePractice
If you're coming from SimplePractice, you can follow the instructions here: Moving Your Records from SimplePractice to Upheal. Your Customer Success Manager can help answer questions you have about getting your data out of SimplePractice. The SimplePractice migration engine supports creating clients and importing notes.
Other EHRs or No EHR
If you're coming from TherapyNotes, Ensora, Sessions Health or other EHRs, you're able to import your client list by selecting Clients from the left sidebar, and selecting "Add Multiple." From this screen, you can import a CSV or XLSX file of client data from your other EHR.
For more details about using the Client Import Tool, see this support article: Importing multiple clients at once from other EHRs. The article outlines editing client information, assigning clients to providers, creating couples or family accounts, and more. Your Customer Success Manager can help you understand how to export data out of your existing systems and format it properly for Upheal.
Adding Chart Notes, Files, or Other Attachments
Once you've created your clients in Upheal, there may be chart notes or other information you'd like to add into Upheal. While the SimplePractice migration engine can automatically import notes, practices coming from other platforms will need to manually import files at the client level. For more help, read Adding Files to Client Profiles. (A file migration engine for other platforms is coming soon.)
