Asking your own questions
You can type any question or request directly into the chat. To make a question more specific, you can reference a particular client, and even specify a certain session. The Assistant can both answer questions and carry out tasks, so you can ask it to find information or to actually do something.
To ask the Assistant about a certain client:
From anywhere in Upheal, click the Assistant icon in the bottom right of your screen.
Click @ Select client in the text box, and click the client you wish to reference.
To use the AI Assistant with a specific session, click Add context, and select the session you wish to reference.
Type your question or task and hit send. The Assistant generates a response or takes the requested action based on that client's records and session if specified.
A few things people are already trying:
"Prep me for my day": See who you're meeting, what's unsigned, and what's outstanding in billing before your first session
"Who has outstanding balances?": Specify how far back to look, and the Assistant finds every client with an open balance and sends a reminder
"Write a discharge summary for [client]": Pulls from session notes and drafts a structured summary you can review and sign off on
"Help me prepare three specific interventions for the next session": Generates targeted suggestions based on what you've been working on with that client
"Tell me about any clinical blind spots I might have with this client": Surfaces patterns and themes from across the client's full history
Upheal AI Assistant does not provide clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions. Always use your professional expertise to evaluate any suggestions it makes.
Revisiting suggestions and note references
After the Assistant generates a response, you can bring it back up at any time or jump directly to the relevant part of your notes.
To revisit a previous response, click the Menu button in the top left of the Assistant to view past chats.
To verify the source of a suggestion, click Sources, and click on any reference cited in the response. This takes you directly to that point in the relevant session note.
Clicking references is a good habit. It lets you quickly check the clinical context behind a suggestion before acting on it.
