Not an Android user? See In-person sessions on your iPhone or iPad.
If you use an Android phone or tablet and want to record your in-person sessions, the Upheal Recorder Android app is for you. Recording is simple:
Capture your session with the app.
The app automatically uploads the recording to Upheal.
Your notes will be ready in Upheal in your browser as usual.
Make sure your phone is set to Do not disturb while capturing a session. Incoming calls can interrupt recording.

On your phone or tablet, follow this link, or search for Upheal in the Play store.
Install the Upheal Recorder app.
Log in with your Upheal credentials.
That's it! You're ready to start recording.

Set your phone to Do not disturb. Receiving a call can interrupt recording.
Open the Upheal Recorder app.
Select a client, or choose Anonymous.
4. Press Start session, and place the phone near you and your client.
While capturing audio, it's okay if your phone screen goes dark or locks — recording will continue.
5. When you’re ready to stop, press End session.
6. Change settings as needed, including recording type, session format, pronouns, note template, and modalities, and press Generate note.
7. You’ll be returned to Upheal Recorder’s home screen, where you’ll see this message letting you know that uploading is in progress:
After a few moments, this message will change to say Upload complete. Your Upheal notes for this session are now ready in your regular web browser.

You can adjust the session settings any time before or during recording by pressing the gear icon in the top right corner.
Recording continues while you adjust the settings, unless you have paused the recording.

You can delete the recording instead of uploading it, but please be aware that deletion in the app is permanent.
We cannot retrieve deleted recordings.
To delete the recording, click Delete session after you have ended the session:

My session hasn't uploaded to Upheal
If you've recorded a session but still don't see the session and notes in Upheal, you'll see a red dot next to the cloud icon on the app home screen:
To see what sessions are waiting to upload or are still in the process of uploading, click on the cloud icon. Once the uploads are finished, you'll find the sessions in Upheal in your browser.
Our app is designed for capturing in person sessions. Unfortunately, a phone can't use the app to record a phone call on itself. More here if you're curious about sessions on the phone.
