While you're in a telehealth session, clients can still join your waiting room. When a client is in your waiting room, they can't see or hear you or your ongoing session.

This is what your waiting room looks like to a client:

If the waiting client is your next appointment

If the waiting client is your next appointment, you can leave them in the waiting room until it's their turn. They can't see or hear your ongoing session.

When your current session is over, make sure to start a new, separate session with your next client:

  1. End your current session.

  2. Click Back to waiting room.

Your waiting client will still be there.

  3. Start a new call with your next client.

If you were to admit your next client during your current session, the notes and insights would combined into one session in your records.

If the waiting client also belongs in the current session

If this is a couples session, or the waiting person is a collateral participant, add them to the session by clicking Admit:

Removing the waiting client

If the waiting client has their appointment time or date wrong, you can remove them from the in-call waiting room.

  1. Click the three-dot icon beside the client's name.

  2. Click Remove.

This is the message your client will see after being removed from the waiting room:

The waiting room has been closed. Another session might be in progress β€” please double-check your appointment time. If you think this was a mistake, reach out to your care provider directly.
